Week 1:
Begin buying or collecting materials for your display.
Begin setting up your experiment or demonstration.
Add information to your project log as you get it.
Start your collection or experiment.
Week 2:
Continue recording notes and data in your log book.
Work on first day of your written report.
Start assembling your display unit.
Check books, pamphlets, magazines for additional ideas.
Week 3:
Begin designing charts, graphs, or other visual aids.
Take any photographs you need. Record any observations on experiment.
Begin preparing signs, titles, and labels for display unit.
Week 4:
Have photographs developed and enlarged.
Begin writing second draft of your report.
Continue recording observations in log book.
Write text for background of display and plan its layout.
Complete graphs, charts, and visual aids.
Week 5:
Complete your experiment or collection.
Write and type final copy of written research report, and put into a presentable folder.
Do lettering of explanations and mount them on the display board.
Mount graphs, charts, drawings, photographs
Week 6:
Proofread your written research report.
Set up display at home and check for any flaws.
Leave up for two days. Does anything need adjusting or secured?
Please do not bring to school before the actual day of the fair!
